When companies embark on office fit out or refurbishment projects, they often don’t realise that they are responsible for the overall management of the project under the CDM (Construction Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
The CDM Regulations 2015 are a set of regulations governing all construction works within the UK, regardless of size, scope or type of client. The intention is to integrate Health & Safety considerations into the design process, ensuring that projects are safely planned, co-ordinated and completed.
Whilst it is the client’s responsibility to manage this, we are able to undertake both Principal Designer and Principal Contractor roles to enable the client to continue running the day to day aspects of their business and minimise unnecessary administration duties.
We are able to offer a professional and cost effective Building Control service with many benefits over using the Local Authority.
Our Building Control team liaise closely with the design team in the early stages of any project to ensure that the Building Regulation requirements are fulfilled at an early stage in the project. We can manage Application Submissions on behalf of the client and provide Final Certification upon completion of the project.
